City of 100 Lovers, World Premiere 20 Oct 2018 at Sky City Casino Theatre, produced in Auckland, New Zealand, Directed by Tony Stimac, Music Director and Lyricist by Tom Mcleod, Original story by Justin Brown, Artistic Director by Vincent Ward, Choreographer by Taiaroa Royal, Set Design by Iain Aitken, and Costume Design by Jiyan Ding. The show features performing talent from New Zealand and Australians and is New Zealand's largest ever locally produced stage musical. In the underwater scene, Jiyan Ding designed a variety of wearable clothing, with a large number of light-emitting fibers and light-emitting devices, to create this fantasy scene. Luminous fibers are also used in chef competition scenes.
